Ranger Roy Gets Social

Howdy folks! Ranger Roy here to tell you about my new online adventure here in Gilroy, California. Everywhere I go these days it seems everyone is talking about social media. Here at the Gilroy Best Western PLUS Forest Park Inn we decided it was time to get more social with our Facebook page. And what is more social than having great things to share with all our guests and friends?

The first thing we are doin’ is our password of the month. All our Facebook friends can get in on this one. Each month we will publish a secret password, and then, when you mention that password at check-in at the Gilroy Best Western PLUS Forest Park Inn, you will get a prize or a special discount just for socializing with us on Facebook.

That’s not all. Each Tuesday we will share travel quotes and lots of helpful hints and DIY tips to make your travels easier. For instance, have you ever made a toothbrush holder out of washcloths?  Boy howdy that is my kind of packing. Making a toothbrush holder out of a washcloth lets you just throw it in the washer when you get home–nothing to throw away. Just remember, don’t be like my great Uncle Burton on my dad’s side of the family; he would use the hotel washcloths for this project. Of course you all know I’m talking about bringing your own from home.

Our Foodie Friday will be chock full of my favorite recipes using–you guessed it–garlic! We are also running different contest and giveaways with gift cards and sports related items to support our local sports teams. If it were up to me I’d invite all of you to come to my house and socialize with a great big barbeque, but that may have to wait for a different time. For now, come get social with me on Facebook.
